Short appointments, back to back
A barbershop day is a run of short appointments. The preset books a haircut as 30 minutes and a beard trim as 20, with 5 minutes after each to clear the chair. The haircut and beard trim is its own 45-minute service, so the time on the book matches the time in the chair.
Notice is 1 hour, the shortest of the ten presets, so a client who spots an open slot at lunch can still take it. Clients can cancel or move online until 12 hours before.
Regulars who always sit with the same barber pick that barber, and everyone else takes anyone available. Each barber keeps their own weekly hours, so clients only see times when their barber is in.
How clients book
-
1 · Pick a service
They see your menu with each service's length and price.
-
2 · Choose a barber
A barber by name, or anyone available.
-
3 · Pick a time
Only free times appear, at least 1 hour ahead and up to 45 days out.
-
4 · Book as a guest
A name and email address, plus a phone number if they like. Nobody needs an account.
The confirmation email has add-to-calendar links for Google, Outlook and Yahoo, and a private link to reschedule or cancel until 12 hours before. A reminder follows 24 hours before the appointment, while they can still change it online. If the day they want is full, they can join that day's waitlist.
